Eyes Of Crimson : Vampire Paranormal Romance (Transfusion Saga Book 8) Page 21
“Eat, my Pet.” I could have said one of so many come backs but then I had promised him to behave when down here and that meant acting the part. And speaking of that part of willing slave, the moment I had filled my belly, and finished downing the last of my water, I was suddenly plucked off the floor. I gave out a surprised little yelp before I realised I was now being positioned in Lucius’ lap.
“Erm…should we be…?” I started whispering my concerns when I felt his hands start stoking across my belly and the bare part of my thigh.
“You have finished your breakfast and therefore now it is time for mine,” he said not bothering to keep his voice down and I soon knew why, as I was to be his meal. I knew this when one hand brushed my loose hair back off my neck and his head descended. But then I tensed in his hold knowing what usually happened when he fed from me and I didn’t exactly fancy recreating the famous orgasm scene from When Harry met Sally.
“Please…we can’t, not here.”
“Ssshh, easy now…I will only taste and not drink too deeply,” he assured me on a whisper no one could hear. Then, after anchoring my body to his with my back held against his chest and his arm across my torso, he grazed his fangs along my tender skin making me shiver in his tight hold. He then made me hiss at the little slice of pain when he pierced the flesh, but it was one that numbed the moment he started to lap me up, sucking on the small cut.
“Mmm, there is nothing better than having your blood in my mouth and your dripping pussy squirming on my lap,” he said being purposely crude seeing as this wasn’t whispered and he was making a point as to who and what my role was to others.
But then, I knew why he was making a show when a certain three brothers suddenly made their entrance. But I couldn’t help but home in on one brother in particular and the anger across his face looked murderous. I tried not to react, but the moment I tensed in Lucius’ hold that was when I knew I’d made my first mistake of the day. Because this was so much more than just feeding from me, this was nothing short of payback. I knew this when Lucius growled low and then told me,
‘And now it is time that he gets to see you…”
“…In my arms.”

Frozen Escape
The moment I heard these words, I sucked in a pained breath knowing that it was as I feared…that night he had been there. He had broken his promise and entered my Void.
“Easy Pet, for I am not angry,” he whispered, and I would have liked to have said, ‘no, but I am’. However, I knew that I didn’t really have much right to feel this way, not seeing as he had been the one to discover me in another man’s arms. And despite how innocent it had been from my end, then I doubted even with the knowledge of this it had the power to erase the memory. So instead of trying to argue my point, I just made a move to get off him when suddenly his arms went solid and he warned,
“Although that can quickly change, so I suggest staying exactly where you are before I look too deeply as to why you wouldn’t want to be on my lap in front of your obvious admirer.” I swallowed hard at the same time I stopped moving, although there was no way I could relax like he wanted.
“That’s not fair,” I whispered back after turning my face into him so only he would hear.
“No, it was not,” he replied not bothering to hide his statement this time and most definitely referring to finding me in Trice’s arms. And speaking of Trice, well, he wasn’t exactly helping matters by giving Lucius what was a blatant death stare. It most definitely had to be said that he was utterly fearless, that or suicidal!
The three brothers walked the length of the throne room and only stopped about five feet from the bottom of the steps. I gave Gryph and Vern a little smile, glad to see that the cockiest brother out of the three was now healing. But then this forced me to remember that it was the man at my back who had inflicted those injuries. I had to say, the thought sickened me a little, despite knowing that in Hell things clearly worked differently for Lucius as one of its rulers.
The two either side of Trice showed their respect and started to lower to one knee as they faced their King. However, it was only when Gryph hissed,
“Trice,” did he then do the same. Although, when he did, he made it clear he did so begrudgingly. I was actually surprised when Lucius let it go, even though I did feel his hand tense by my side, and I looked down to find it fisted in the material of my trousers.
“Rise!” He snapped making them do so and as Vern and Gryph stood, they both nodded their heads to me and said,
“Lass.”
However, it was Trice who ignored me completely and admittedly it hurt, although for obvious reasons I knew it was for the best.
“And to what do I owe this intrusion?” Lucius asked in a masterful tone that may have appeared relaxed, but I knew it was really anything but. He also started wrapping a length of my hair around his fingers as if this was a habit of his.
It was all a show.
“We 'ere tae receive whit was promised tae us,” Trice stated in a hard voice, speaking of course about his soul.
“Ah yes, that of your souls…seems like a fitting price for returning another soul I own,” Lucius stated making me suck in a hiss of breath and Trice sneered in disgust.
“Relax now, laddie,” his big brother warned on a whisper as Lucius wasn’t the only one now fisting his hands.
“I would listen to your brother, McBain, for you are lucky that after last night I am in a good mood…one that will only last so long until she is under me again,” Lucius warned making me suck in another breath as he continued to act as if I was some kind of whore he had fucked and was now feeling good about it!
I was near shaking I was that furious.
I turned my face away, feeling disgusted and hurt. Yes, I knew that Lucius had to act a certain way and keep up a charade to keep me safe, but this wasn’t that. No, this was just a pissing contest between men! Lucius was going too far and before long I knew I would snap. Because a person could only take so much, and Lucius was about to find out just what my limits of this little act of his was. And I could pretty much guarantee that he wouldn’t like the fucking outcome!
“I wull relax when we hae whit's due tae us, 'til then...” Trice started to say but Lucius had clearly had enough,
“Till then you are still under my fucking rule and you would do well remembering that!”
“Oh, I remember it a'richt!” Trice snarled back making Gryph mutter,
“Ah Fuck.” And Vern muttered back,
“At least tis nae me pissin’ him aff this time.”
“You have something to say shifter then fucking say it!” Lucius snapped back goading him…hell, but at this point they were fucking goading each other!
“Ye have yer lass, 'n' I am just wantin’ mah soul, thats th' only business we hae left,” Trice stated with a shrug of his shoulders.
“And you have interrupted me the dessert of my meal, so it is a business that will have to wait,” Lucius replied trailing his fingertips down the side of my breast to make his point and it was one I didn’t like. As in…At. All.
Which is why I snapped,
“Why don’t one of you just piss on me while you’re at it!” Lucius tensed beneath me and the brothers all gasped, whilst his second in command sniggered,
“Umm, you know, I am starting to like your slave.”
“Silence!” Lucius snarled to his side at the comment before turning his attention back to me, doing so by roughly pulling on my chain, so it brought my face closer to his. Then he warned,
“Don’t force my hand girl, for you will remember your place!”
“Oh, I remember it…my Lord!” I growled this last part making him snarl back at me. Then he turned his angry eyes back to Trice who looked to have taken a step towards me, only was then quickly restrained by Gryph. This was because his hand was still planted on his brother’s chest. But Trice looked down at it before shrugging it off and saying,
“Come oan brothers
, it looks lik' th' vow of a King isn’t whit it used tae be.” Then he turned his back on Lucius who took this as the ultimate insult because suddenly I found myself dumped back on my mound of material. Then he was gone. I blinked and saw that Lucius now had Trice in a deadly grasp, after erupting fully into his demon. He had thrown Trice flat on his back with a demonic hand wrapped around his throat.
“NO!” I shouted making Lucius growl back at me over his shoulder.
“You care for this owned life, my slave?” Lucius snarled at me making me take a shuddering breath before nodding, a muttered plea came next,
“Please…please don’t do this.”
However, during this Lucius was getting a bite of pain back as I could see that Trice’s eyes had turned to ice blue, along with his skin becoming like frost. It travelled down his features until reaching his neck therefore touching Lucius’ hand who had no choice but to let go.
Then, just before he could take further action against him, Carn’reau came running through the doors at the end and declared,
“My King, there is an army coming from the Echoing Forest!” Lucius snarled in anger, pushed off Trice and snarled an order over his shoulder at his second in command,
“Office…now!” He said before nodding at me and I was quickly on my feet, slightly panicking now as to what new shit was happening. Especially when I watched Lucius walk towards his general. And with each step taken, a long and thick black sword started to form down his arm. Then once whole, he circled his blade with a roll of his wrist as if at the ready to take on this new threat.
I took one step towards him, the worry clearly written on my face when suddenly an arm took hold of me and brought me face to face with the one Lucius named Šeš. His beautiful almond shaped green eyes were frowning down at me in question before back at his King as he disappeared through the front doors.
“I suggest you three fuck off before he comes back and as for you, come with me,” he said pulling me off to one side despite my struggles.
“Lucius!” I shouted but the moment we were behind a wall hidden from the view of his throne room he swung me around and hissed a warning at me,
“Don’t be foolish, girl.”
“Why…you gonna throw me in a fucking prison cell again?!” I snapped making him hold me tighter before dragging me off down an empty hallway, muttering about irrational mortals.
“If it had been left up to me, then you would likely still be there, as you have been nothing but fucking trouble from the start.” I frowned wondering what he meant by that but before I could ask he opened a door and pushed me inside it.
“If you know what is good for you, then I suggest you stay in here or it will be that same cell my guards will put you in!” He warned, and I could now see the guards he spoke of materialise out of nowhere as if suddenly summoned. Then, before I could say another word, he slammed the door.
I hammered a fist on the heavy panelled wood in my anger before taking in the room with a frustrated breath. I quickly assessed the space, seeing that there was no other way in or out. Not exactly surprising seeing as I hadn’t yet seen a single window.
“Fuck!” I hissed before taking in the rest of the room and taking note of its unusual décor. Unusual in the fact that for being in a castle like this, it actually looked somewhat normal and even, if such a thing were possible…homely.
But I ignored the Persian colours of my father’s ancient world and the fact that this was obviously an office of sorts, focusing instead on the sound of fighting that seemed to be coming from directly outside the door. I knew the sound of a demon’s warning growl anywhere and I also knew that it didn’t belong to Lucius like I hoped. I then heard the clashing of weapons and the haunting sound of blood being spilled followed by the cry of death.
Oh shit.
I sucked in a panicked breath and quickly looked around for a weapon of any kind. In the end, a fire poker was all I could find, and I held the wrought iron pole as though it was Excalibur itself, glad that at the very least it had a pointed end.
“Seriously, how does this shit keep happening to me?” I questioned just before it all went silent in the hallway outside the door. My gaze was riveted on that handle and I knew the second it moved I would jump a fucking mile and no doubt scream like a girl!
But then when nothing happened I knew I had to check, as for all I knew then the soldiers could have been the ones to eliminate the threat and I was stood in here shaking in anticipation and worry for no good reason.
So, I bravely crossed the room while still holding my pathetic weapon best I could, I tried the door, half expecting it to be locked. However, what I wasn’t expecting was for it to be freezing cold!
“Ah, what the hell?!” I shouted as it burned my hand and I stumbled back a few steps. But then I looked back up and saw that ice was now taking over the door, sealing me in for good. I couldn’t understand what was happening, as in no time at all I was soon looking at a wall of solid ice!
After this came the thundering rumble like the earth was being split open by Poseidon himself, as not many people knew but he was more than just the God of the sea but also of earthquakes…oh and of horses. But really, how that helped him when supposedly living in the sea was anyone’s guess, as it’s not like they were great swimmers!
“AH!” I shouted again as the floor beneath my feet shook for a second time and I dropped my weapon with a clatter just so I could reach out and try to steady myself. But then, instead of finding something to hold onto, what I actually found was something living.
I knew this when the solid muscle moved beneath my hand and the second I stepped away from it I found a hand clamped over my mouth. I hadn’t even had a chance to turn and face the new threat head on. No, instead I was left looking panicked and staring at my distorted figure in the ice. But this wasn’t all I saw as the massive dark figure behind me was hard to miss. What with their glowing white eyes and demonic stare.
Then suddenly as a muffled scream ripped through me everything within me, turned from ice…
To black.

Innocent Mistakes
The second my conscious state started to take in the motion of movement, one that was constant and in that of a rhythm, I knew that I was being carried. The feel of the air blowing through my hair and along my skin was one that started to bring me around quicker. Which meant that when I finally did open my eyes it took me a moment to stop being confused and figure out why I was seeing the sky upside down.
My head had fallen back, making the pain in my neck tell me it had been like this a while when I tried to move. Then when I looked up, I saw a sight I had seen once before.
Feathers.
I looked to what I appeared to be trapped in and saw another sight I knew.
Giant clawed feet.
Naturally, my reaction to this was to hiss,
“Oh fuck.” This was when it all started coming back to me. I had been put into a room and told to stay there. I had heard the fighting. Then came ice.
Trice’s ice.
“Oh no…no, no, no, this is bad…so fucking bad,” I muttered before looking up at the three sets of wings that were currently flying me away from the one man I had just been trying like all Hell to get to! And why, all because of three brothers who had taken in Lucius’ fucking slave act and now they felt guilty they had sold my soul for their own.
Gods, this was bad. No, this wasn’t just bad, this was utterly fucked! I needed to fix this! I needed to do something or what could potentially happen next would be three deaths I would forever have on my conscience. Three brothers who I had come to care about. But then I also knew this could end up being an impossible task and that I would have to have a backup plan. Maybe I could somehow get them to my father or even my grandfather for that matter to ask for his protection? For surely Lucius didn’t have any claim if they were in someone else’s realm? Then again, he still owned their souls, so I was clutching at straws because I had no idea how t
he hell this worked!
Oh Gods!
Well, whatever it was, I knew that I needed to get them to at the very least stop, as the further away from Lucius they took me, it would only mean the harder it was for me to get back.
“HEY!” I shouted hoping my voice would carry over the wind. The sky around us was a light grey and below us was a dark brown clearing that was surrounded by dark green trees of some creepy looking forest.
“HEY, you kind-hearted but totally wrong BLOCKHEADS!” I shouted finally making them hear me as a Gryphons head was the first to look down at me.
“Hey yeah, remember me, THE GIRL YOU JUST KIDNAPPED!” I shouted again hoping they would get the message and the second one head looked to another, which I think must have been the Trice’s Cockatrice, we started going down.
“Oh, thank the Gods,” I muttered the closer to the ground we got and all I could hope for was that this time, it was a softer landing. Because breaking anything at this point was only going to end up being the rotten cherry and bitter icing on the cake!
But then I had at least one thing to be thankful for and could be classed as going my way, as when I was but six feet from the ground the claws opened up and let me go. Thankfully, I was ready for it and even though I didn’t by any means land gracefully, I didn’t hurt myself this time.
So, I pushed myself up just in time to see three majestic creatures all separated in a torrent of power as the air around their beasts was being sucked towards them and creating a side on tornado. Then the second the creatures each landed I sucked in a startled breath muttering,
“Gods.”
They were utterly incredible.
I watched open mouthed as that cyclone of energy swallowed them whole and what walked from the centre of each was the figure of a man. This was when I started running, and the moment I got close enough I started on them,
